8-9 September saw the return of Spain’s leading organic event, Organic Food Iberia (OFI), as it presented its second edition in Madrid to an international audience of almost 5,000 attendees.

Across two days at IFEMA MADRID, exhibiting brands welcomed 4,978 retail buyers, wholesalers and distributors from 35 countries, showcasing the latest products for the Iberian market and beyond.

Despite the challenges of international travel, visitor turnout is reported to have been strong and networking opportunities abundant. “People have been very receptive. We have met a lot of people and we have been able to create a good database of new contacts,” said exhibiting brand Natruly.

WeBotanix, which scooped two prizes during the Eco & Organic Awards Iberia, added: “We are young entrepreneurs, but it has been very interesting because we have made some great contacts here.”

Carsten Holm, MD of organizer Diversified Communications UK, comments that the show ‘exceeded everyone’s expectations’ and ‘highlighted the importance of face-to-face contact’.

Organic Food Iberia, alongside its sister show Evo Living Iberia, returns to IFEMA MADRID on 8-9 June 2022.
