Yeo Valley Organic, the organic British dairy company has taken its first step into the meat category with the launch of its 100% British, free-range and organic grass-fed beef-steak burger.
The burgers will make their debut at 362 Tesco locations as well as online starting March 26, 2025 for £5 per two-pack.
The 130g burgers are made with free-range organic grass-fed British steak, responding to the interest in simpler, nutritious and more sustainable food. Organic grass-fed beef is a source of protein and micronutrients such as iron, B12 and zinc. Iron is used for many bodily functions, from contributing to the reduction of tiredness to transporting oxygen around the body in our red blood cells.
Yeo Valley Organic’s British organic herds roam freely, grazing on organic pastures for as long as the weather allows. These diverse pastures are nurtured in harmony with the soil without artificial fertilisers and chemical pesticides ensuring a natural, sustainable approach to farming.
Jonny McIver, senior brand manager at Yeo Valley, commented on the launch, saying, “After 30 years of being an organic brand, we’re excited to branch out beyond dairy in a way that supports the whole regenerative organic farming system. Animals play a key role in soil health and the health of the ecosystem, so by offering free-range, organic beef, we’re championing a more ethical and more sustainable farming system.
“Families want top-quality, high-welfare meat that matches their ethics and principles, without compromising. That’s why we’re proud to offer a burger made with just a few simple ingredients, including 100% British organic grass-fed beef. It’s a tasty, no-fuss choice for those who care about great taste and responsible sourcing.”
