Viridian’s Vitamin B12 range gets a natural lift from Shiitake Mushrooms

Ethical vitamin company Viridian Nutrition has unveiled an expansion to its Vitamin
B12 range.

New Viridian Organic B12 from Shiitake mushrooms provide a pure form of the essential nutrient. Shiitake mushrooms naturally contain an elevated level of vitamin B12, compared to its counterpart mushrooms. Shiitake mushrooms is also one of few non-animal sources rich in vitamin B12.

A powerhouse nutrient, vitamin B12 helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue, contributes to normal function of the immune system and normal red blood cell formation. Viridian Organic B12 sourced from Shiitake mushrooms provides a complete form of mixed cobalamins in their natural state, explains Aimee Benbow, Viridian’s Nutrition Director.

Working with growers aligned to Viridian’s ethical philosophy is core to new product development. Viridian Shiitake mushrooms are grown on an organic farm, without the need of pesticides and harsh chemicals. The actives are obtained using a natural blend of spring water, lemon and coconut vinegar, which avoids the use of any chemicals, before being freeze dried to lock in the nutrients. This creates a natural, nutrition dense, food source form of organic vitamin B12, certified by the Soil Association.

Like all Viridian supplements, Organic B12 contains 100% active ingredients, is formulated by expert nutritionists with no artificial fillers and no nasties. The supplement is sourced according to Viridian’s strict ethical criteria including no animal testing, GMO or palm oil.
