Natural soft drinks producer Mangajo has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2011 for International trade. The award was given to acknowledge the success of its iced tea infusions, which are exported worldwide.
Half of the company’s retail turnover of £4.5m comes from overseas, including key markets like Canada, Greece, Sweden and Poland. In the UK its products are distributed in outlets including Waitrose and Whole Foods Market.
“We are delighted to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of the international trade work we have done,” said Alex Hannon, co-founder and MD of Mangajo.
“Our focus is to keep the brand firmly on the international radar by producing simple but innovative drinks made from natural ingredients that provide wide brand appeal to a broad cross section of the population.”
