Nearly a century after Weleda launched its iconic Skin Food Original, the brand has unveiled a three-strong collection of NATRUE-certified natural Skin Food Face Care formulated for daily use.
The new Skin Food Cleansing Balm, Day Cream and Night Cream have been formulated to nourish and protect dry skin by blending the original signature botanicals of Weleda Skin Food – rosemary, viola tricolor, calendula, chamomile, sunflower – with antioxidant-rich plant actives including Centella asiatica extract and sacha inchi oil.
Clinically proven to deliver immediate and long-lasting moisture, the facial care products are suitable for women and men of all ages with skin that tends to dryness, or as a nourishing boost for skin going through a dry phase.
Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm is an oil-to-milk formulation delicately fragranced with natural essential oils including sweet orange balanced by warm balsamic notes of benzoin. Proven to be microbiome-friendly it conditions while cleansing, effectively removing dirt, grime and make-up and leaving skin feeling soft and replenished.
Skin Food Nourishing Day Cream has been created to nourish dry skin, hydrate and restore radiance. Refreshing sweet orange joins biodynamic calendula, chamomile, rosemary, sunflower seed oil and shea butter along with antioxidant organic olive leaf extract and olive squalane which contributes natural skin-conditioning, emollient properties to maintain a healthy skin barrier and protect against the drying effects of weather and central heating.
Scented with relaxing lavender essential oil, Skin Food Night Cream is made with healing calendula, skin-smoothing viola tricolor and organic cold-pressed sacha inchi oil which is rich in alpha linoleic acid and polyunsaturated fatty acids to reduce moisture loss and help maintain elasticity. Organic shea butter strengthens the skin’s natural barrier function while Centella asiatica extract stimulates collagen synthesis, encouraging regeneration.
The range is sustainably packaged with easy-to-recycle elements that can all go out for kerbside collection and in-pack leaflets have been replaced by printing inside the cartons.
