Viridian Nutrition has added two new products to its range – Lip Nurse and Lemon Balm Tincture – harnessing the beneficial properties of the herb, which is Viridian’s Ingredient of the Year 2020.
Lip Nurse is an organic infusion of UK-grown botanical ingredients formulated for dry, sore lips. The lip balm is deeply moisturizing with natural sunflower oil and cocoa butter to calm and soothe and is enhanced by lemon balm and tea tree herbal extracts. Beeswax is included to nourish and hold in essential moisture and grapefruit peel provides a naturally sweet citrus flavour.
Lemon Balm Tincture is a high potency formulation featuring lemon balm which is rich in rosmarinic acid and hand-picked to preserve its active components. Formulated with 480mg of fresh herb for every 1ml, the tincture is an organically certified food supplement produced using Melissa officinalis extract and can be helpful for people looking to find thoughtful balance and mindful rhythm.
The lemon balm is organically grown in the UK and added to water and organic alcohol to produce a pure tincture which harnesses its natural beneficial properties. Viridian’s tinctures are produced in small batches to preserve the integrity and purity of the ingredients.
“Lemon balm has a long history of traditional use and has been extensively researched in modern time, earning its place as the Viridian Ingredient of the Year,” says Aimee Benbow, Viridian Nutrition’s technical director.
“We recognize that everyone has individual health needs. Making this ingredient available in as many ways as possible, and in a convenient manner for people to use is a natural way forward for Viridian.
“The introduction of a lip balm is a new direction for us and part of our ongoing NPD programme to deliver complementary supplements that meet consumer demand for multi-functional products.”
Both products are certified organic by the Soil Association.
