A new weekly lottery – Veggie Lotto – has been launched by The Vegetarian Society.
Veggie Lotto is the UK’s first and only vegetarian and vegan lottery. Tickets are £1 each, with 50p from each ticket going to The Vegetarian Society, and the top prize is £25,000 with a total of seven guaranteed cash prizes.
“You will be helping us to train more caterers to serve great vegetarian and vegan food and allow us to offer community groups, vulnerable adults and young people more free courses,” says Lynne Elliot, chief executive of The Vegetarian Society. “You’ll be making shopping easier with more products carrying the Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks, and bringing veggie and vegan food into more communities, schools and social centres every National Vegetarian Week,” adds Elliot.
The first draw will take place on 13 May.
