The Organic Sommelier is a new e-commerce platform aiming to make organic and biodynamic wines from across the globe more easily accessible.
The site boasts an expertly curated selection of red, white, rose and sparkling wines and conveys stories of the wine-makers and vineyards.
Citing the most common barrier to buying organic wines as being the cost, The Organic Sommelier offers wines ranging from under £10 up to £250 and is dedicated to breaking down preconceptions, bringing organic wine to customers in an ‘accessible but luxury place’.
“We saw a real opportunity to create a platform that made organic wine accessible to everyone,” explains founder and CEO Graham Curme. “There is a lot of confusion around natural, organic and biodynamic wines and we wanted to simplify the information, show that they are affordable and make it simple to shop for your favourite wines whilst also discovering new ones.”
we support our home market to increase visibility of the brilliant produce available made using the most eco-friendly and sustainable practises
The Organic Sommelier was founded from a passion for wine but also with a focus on eco-farming and sustainability in viticulture and how this can be brought to the forefront of more wine-drinkers’ minds.
“We are working with many brilliant suppliers across the world but have launched with a real focus on UK vineyards as we support our home market to increase visibility of the brilliant produce available made using the most eco-friendly and sustainable practises,” adds Curme.
The site features a quiz which asks customers a series of questions and then generates custom wine recommendations.
