NBTY Europe appoints marketing high-flyer

NBTY Europe has appointed Lysa Hardy as chief marketing officer to head up its sales and marketing divisions.

The group, which operates the Holland & Barrett, GNC and Nature’s Way brands, comprises more than 800 stores in the UK with a further 30 franchised stores around the world.

Hardy joins with an extensive background of multichannel and experiential marketing within RAC, T-Mobile, Orange and Facey International, and will join NBTY Europe’s corporate board as the group’s marketing capability continues to grow.

The next quarter will see NBTY Europe implement a new EPOS system linked to its Rewards for Life loyalty scheme and a new “best in class” internet platform for all its European divisions. Hardy will lead a creative review of the Holland & Barrett television advertising campaigns.

Overseeing a team of 50, Hardy will be reporting directly to CEO Peter Aldis.
