Natural Health’s Welwyn store has won the prestigious WelHat Independent Shop of the Year Award for 2013.
The award was created to recognise the important contribution that independent retailers make to the town’s economy and in the local community. The competition has been championed by the MP for Welwyn Hatfield, Grant Shapps.
Store staff were invited to a special Parliamentary reception earlier in the year. At the ceremony Shapps said “This competition is a small way of letting our local retailers know how much we appreciate and support them.” Last week (17 May) Shapps visited Natural Health to formally hand over the Award to owner Julie Goodwin
Earlier Goodwin had thanked everyone who had voted for Natural Health and urged shoppers to continue to support independent stores on their local high streets.
