New research by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) and the Local Data Company shows that health food chains were among the high street’s biggest losers in 2012.

According to the research into retail chain performance, a quarter (24.7%) of health food chain retail space was lost in 2012, as measured by the net change in units.

Health food multiples were the second biggest losers in 2012, the researchers say – with only computer gamer retailers faring worse.
