Looking to bolster its sustainability credentials, Wessanen UK has recruited Cristina Ramsay as its new technical & CSR director.
Primarily be responsible for supplier assurance and regulating the food safety, legality and quality of Wessanen UK’s products, a key strategic focus for Ramsay will be directly supporting Wessanen UK’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices.
Ramsay has over 20 years’ industry experience, including as senior technical account manager at Allied Bakeries where she was responsible for improving and maintaining standards across the customer brand portfolio. Prior to this, Ramsay held roles with McCormick’s and the Leatherhead Food Research Association.
“Wessanen UK has firm, established sustainability credentials and I’m really looking forward to supporting the business as we strive to further improve and balance our environmental, social and economic sustainability,” says Ramsay. “Our brands are all managed by highly motivated and knowledgeable quality, R&D and marketing teams, and I will work closely alongside them to further our consumer offering from both a technical and sustainability perspective.”
