Artisan producer Little Moons has launched a range of Mochi Ice Cream spheres onto the UK market.

The traditional Japanese delicacy mochi is filled with red bean paste, but Little Moons’ range consists of gelato spheres made from British dairy, wrapped in soft, sweet mocha dough, to provide a chewy outer edge and smooth indulgent centre.

Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream is available in six contemporary flavours: Toasted Sesame; Matcha Green Tea; Vanilla; Coconut; Mango; and Raspberry.

The desserts are gluten-free and less than 100 calories each. Each sphere is hand-rolled in London.

Little Moons was founded by brother and sister Howard and Vivien Wong who come from a family of patisiers. The pair developed the new products alongside Nobu’s head patisserie chef Regis Cursan.
