Linwoods has launched Hemp Protein+, a range of natural plant protein blends designed to add a boost of extra nutrition to shakes, smoothies and yoghurts.

The three varieties are: Flaxseed, Chia Seed, Cocoa and Beetroot Powder; Flaxseed, Bio Cultures, Vitamin D and Co-enzyme Q10; and Flaxseed, Chia Seed, Broccoli and Spinach Powder.

The superfood blends, which have added pea protein, contain 15-16g of protein in each 30g serving and are high in omega-3 ALA, vitamins, minerals and fibre. They are gluten-, dairy- and GMO-free, are all-natural and have no added sugar.

“There is an upward trend in hemp protein sales, as consumers who like to eat well choose it over whey, soya or other less healthy protein powder alternatives,” says Sarah Shimmons, head of marketing at Linwoods. “Hemp Protein+ is also suitable for gluten-free, diary-free and vegan diets, so whether it’s used as part of a healthy lifestyle, an exercise regime or to build muscle, our new Hemp Protein+ range is the perfect natural alternative for everyone.”
