One of the many overseas exhibitors at this year’s Natural & Organic Products Europe is the Tribal Chocolate company who will be exhibiting their range of exclusive Superfood Truffles. The truffles, which are handmade by the Amazonian Loof Lirpa tribe, include oils from the seeds of fruits which have been partially digested by the local rattus rolandus rodents. Dr Ivanna Tinkle from the University of Rio claims that the digestive enzymes of the rodent increases the bio-activity of the oils and therefore enhances the benefits of the truffles.
The range of truffles, which have a cult celebrity following including the Beckhams, Tom Cruise, Rihanna and Tony Hadley, are expected to retail for £600 for a box of 6.
