National Honey Week is taking place from 25-31 October this year, in what is an inaugural celebration of all things honey.

NATIONAL HONEY WEEK 15_TAGLINE_ROUNDEL_RGBOrganized by the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA), the event – which coincides with the end of the beekeeping season, the honey harvest, honey survey results and the National Honey Show – is designed to raise awareness of the traditional craft of beekeeping and the values of its by-products.

National Honey Week will offer a chance for the general public to be included in the How Do You Eat Your Honey? campaign by donating a honey recipe and two hi-res images.  The best of these will be put into a BBKA Honey Recipe Book which will initially be downloadable from the BBKA website, after which it will be added to and sold in hard copy with all sales going to the charity.

The BBKA will also be asking beekeepers to get involved with various events to further promote awareness.

For more information, please visit the BBKA website.
