Gary Trickett, chairman of The National Association of Health Stores (NAHS), has penned an open letter to independent health stores across the UK, commending the ‘commitment and support’ they have shown their local communities during the coronavirus crisis.

“Dear retailers, we know that these are challenging and uncertain times and we understand how hard it must be for those of you currently trading,” Trickett writes.

“Our industry is a vital lifeline for many in your local communities and the goods and support that you supply makes a real difference to their ability to get by during this crisis.

We commend you for your commitment and support of your local communities

“We are encouraged by the way you have responded to this crisis and we are confident that we will all continue to meet these challenges.

“We want to offer a huge thank you to everyone operating in our sector.  We commend you for your commitment and support of your local communities and we want you all to know that NAHS are here to support you during this unprecedented crisis,” he finishes.
