Organic wine in the spotlight

219 wines secured medals at the world’s biggest wine competition, the 3rd MUNDUS VINI BioFach International Organic Wine Award.

Over 200 organic producers from 20 countries faced the critical palates of wine experts at the recent Biofach exhibition. Span winemakers were particularly successful with a haul of 50 medals, including one Special Gold, 22 Gold and 27 Silver medals. They were followed in the medals table by France (39 medals, including 2 Special Gold), Italy (38medals, including 2 Special Gold) and Austria (15 medals). The jury also awarded Special Gold to two organic wines from Australia and one wine from Chile.
