MP claims astrology can relieve pressure on NHS

A long term political supporter of the natural health industry has claimed that astrology “has an active role in healthcare”.

Discussing the resources pressure in the NHS in an interview for this month’s Astrological Journal the Conservative MP, David Treddinick, said: “I do believe that astrology and complementary medicine would help take the huge pressure off doctors.”

Treddinick, the MP for Bosworth in Leicestershire, added that “astrology is a useful diagnostic tool enabling us to see strengths and weaknesses via the birth chart”.

The MP, who is chairman of the the All-Party Group for Integrated Healthcare, claims in the interview that those who dismiss astrology are “bullies” and “racially prejudiced”.
