The HFMA (Health Food Manufacturers’ Association) has named Natures Aid MD Lynn Lord as its new Chair.
Lord will be supported by Robert Taylor of Viabiotics as the new Vice-Chair. She succeeds Martin Last who recently stood down at the end of a successful three-year term.
Graham Keen, HFMA executive director, commented: “Martin has been a driving force behind ensuring that this organisation is at the centre of the important debates that influence and affect our industry. This work is warmly appreciated and recognised by the HFMA Council, and all those involved within the health food industry. Lynn has previously played a vital role on the Council for the past five years, the last three as vice-chair, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming Lynn to her new role.”
Commenting on the task ahead, Lynn Lord said: “One of my key objectives in this new role is to look at how we are able to channel and improve HFMA efforts in vocalising our messages. We are also dedicated to continuing to support our membership to the best of our ability and pursue the areas we know will be of most benefit to them in protecting our industry. This includes our vital efforts to explore how we can help manufacturers, brand owners and distributors to have an appropriate regulatory framework to operate within.”
