After a successful first year the FreeFrom Skincare Awards will be open for entries on January 1 2013.
The Awards, which celebrate the best skincare products that are ‘free from’ allergens, artificial additives and other potentially problematic ingredients, are run by specialist skincare and skin health site, SkinsMatter.com.
“We’re excited to be back for a second year,” said Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, editor of SkinsMatter.com.
“Last year the standard was exceptionally high with a huge diversity of products entered – an intimate hygiene spray, an echinacea toner, a natural rosacea gel, and a number of topical balms! Judges found it so hard to draw up a shortlist, let alone choose winners!”
“There are several skincare awards out there,” added SkinsMatter.com’s deputy editor, Alex Gazzola, “but the FreeFrom Skincare Awards are different as they put a little less emphasis on beauty and more on health concerns, beneficial ingredients, absent ingredients and good labelling practice. Our site’s readers seek cosmetics which benefit the long-term health and condition of their skin, while avoiding ingredients that concern them or to which they are sensitive.”
Full rules, entry criteria, sponsorship and publicity details are available at SkinsMatter.com.
The Awards will again be run in association with 2012 partners, The Green Beauty Bible and The Allergy & Free From Show.
