The Ethical Fashion Forum (EFF) is mounting a ‘Value Chain Call to Action’ in response to the Bangladeshi garment factory disaster.

The group – whose partner members include the Fairtrade Foundation and Organic Exchange – says the initiative will focus on “practical and constructive steps that need to be taken by the fashion industry to make sure that such an event will never happen again”.

EFF is consulting with members and partners in 130 countries to construct a co-ordinated response to the disaster at the factory which was making clothing for high street chains. A formal response will be announced at EFF’s SOURCE Summit on 12 July.
