According to a recent survey, conducted by YouGov, recognition of Denmark’s organic label, the Ø mark, is at 100%.

The survey of over 1,000 Danes aged between 18-75 found that all respondents had heard of the Ø mark and 30% also said they knew the brand well. 15% said they had heard of the logo but didn’t know much about the brand.

The mark has been used for 25 years for foods certified organic by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fishery.

Environmental & Food Minister Esben Lunde Larsen commented that with a solid organic domestic standing, Danish agriculture is in a strong position. “We are now witnessing a great and significant development of Danish ecology, both on the consumer and producer side,” he said. “Consumers within and outside the country are demanding ever more organic products.”
