Following increasing media coverage and concern about the developing coronavirus situation, Diversified Communications UK has consulted with the industry and taken the decision that it is in the best interests of the community to move the dates of Natural & Organic Products Europe 2020 to Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July.
Speaking to NPN, Carsten Holm, managing director of Diversified, comments on the decision: “Natural & Organic Products Europe is the single most important business event in our calendar. Many companies rely on it to meet new and current customers, so this decision has not been taken lightly. However, whilst the Government view is for large scale events to continue, advice is changing on a daily basis. We have also noted a slowdown in the number of international buyer registrations and, although UK registrations remain strong, we want exhibitors to have the time to make changes and prepare for the new dates before we get too close to the event.
We are a strong community and I know everyone will get behind this decision
“The media reaction to the outbreak is unprecedented and I think you will agree that it is not a climate in which we want to hold the show. The success, as well as the safety, of our exhibitors and visitors, has always been our priority and this continues to be the case.
“We are in uncharted territory and we believe that carrying on with the current dates would not be in the best interests of our community. We fully understand and appreciate the level of planning that is required to attend Natural & Organic Products Europe and would like to thank everyone including our exhibitors, visitors, partners and suppliers for their continued support and patience during this challenging time.
“We are a strong community and I know everyone will get behind this decision,” Holm finishes.
Natural & Organic Products Europe will now take place on 7-8 July at ExCeL London, in halls S14-S21.
