For the first time since Health Stores UK’s acquisition of consumer facing information site HealthyDoesIt, a new promotional campaign has launched.

HealthyDoesFestive encourages consumers into their local health stores this December, with a feature length article guiding seasonal shoppers around various categories covered by health food retailers – including festive food and drink, natural beauty, ‘thoughtful gifting’ and supplements and botanicals to boost winter health.

A HealthyDoesFestive giveaway offers Winter Wellness Goody Bags as prizes, featuring products donated by Viridian Nutrition, Terranova and A. Vogel.

We hope the whole trade will get behind these consumer campaigns

“Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year, Winter Solstice – the festive season in all its shapes and forms is just around the corner,” says the site. “We’ll soon be rummaging in the decorations cupboard, dressing the tree and lighting the candles. Our thoughts will also be turning to festive food and drink, and other seasonal goodies. And we’ll be racking our brains for inspirational gift ideas for friends and family. Of course, HealthyDoesIt readers will also want [to] ensure that the festivities are healthy and celebratory. Step forward Britain’s 1,000 independent health stores (find the one that’s nearest to you here).”

Len Glenville, Health Stores UK co-chair, comments on the campaign: “The article we have created for our first HealthyDoes campaign aims to show consumers why independent health stores should be their go-to destination for festive food with an organic, free-from or Fairtrade twist, thoughtful gifting ideas and indulgent natural beauty and body products – and, of course, the widest range of natural health products on the high street, with everything you could possibly need for a New Year healthy reset.

“We hope the whole trade will get behind these consumer campaigns and will want to share and link to our HealthyDoesFestive campaign on their social media channels. I’m sure we’d all agree that the more people we can nudge in the direction of their local independent health store during this vital selling period, the better!”
