Holland & Barrett International was last week today formally presented with the Queen’s Award for International Trade at a ceremony at its Nuneaton head office.

Regarded as the most prestigious business awards programme in the country, the award celebrates UK businesses leading the way in international trade, innovation and sustainable development. Peter Aldis, CEO of Holland & Barrett International, was presented with the award by the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire, Mr Timothy B Cox, before an audience of 350 head office staff and invited guests including Nuneaton & Bedworth Mayor Councillor Jill Sheppard and Marcus Jones, MP for Nuneaton.

Following the presentation, the Queen’s Award flag will fly from Holland & Barrett’s Nuneaton Headquarters for the next five years. The business will also be permitted to display the award emblem across a wide range of stationery, advertising, staff uniforms and on packaging for products manufactured in the UK for export overseas.

The Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire commented on the award: “As the Queen’s Representative within Warwickshire I am delighted to be here today to present this prestigious Award to Holland and Barrett for the excellent work that they have done for International Trade.”

Peter Aldis, CEO of Holland & Barrett International added: “We are honoured to be presented with this, the most prestigious award for businesses in the UK, and are proud to host Her Majesty The Queen’s representative, the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire, at our headquarters for such a momentous occasion today.”
