UK health food chain Grape Tree has announced the launch of a new store in Douglas, the waterfront capital of the Isle of Man.

The retailer, which is registered organic with The Organic Food Federation, says that Douglas has long been on the Grape Tree HQ team’s wish list for new locations.

“We are delighted to be opening in Douglas,” says Midlands entrepreneur Nick Shutts who founded the chain. “We are looking forward to bringing our Grape Tree ‘feel good food’ message to the island and to welcoming customers into the store.”

The Douglas store is 1060sq ft and the team is supported by the company’s West Midlands HQ which specializes in sourcing organic wholefoods from around the world. The retailer says it regularly expands its product range to reflect its emphasis on the sustainability and traceability of its foods.
