The Free From Skincare Awards, which are in their thirteenth year, have announced the winners, with BLUR LONDON crowned overall champion and awarded Best Free From Skincare Product 2024 for their Cloudskin Moisturiser.
The vegan, fragrance-free, food-allergen free and alcohol-free formulation contains white tea ferment, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, and it held off stiff competition from products by brands such as Weleda and Baylis & Harding for the overall title.
The prestigious Best Free From Brand Award was won jointly by Lyonsleaf and Estonian brand LUMI.
Other Gold winners include: Unapologetic Skin, Cleansing Oil & Makeup Remover (Men’s Grooming); Little Cirkus, Baby Oil (Family Skincare); Janni Bars, Dagda (Hair Care); Attitude, Lip Balm Watermelon (Lip Care); Labbok, Eye Cream (Eye Care); Kiss the Moon, GLOW Cream (Body Care (Leave On)); and Baylis & Harding, Goodness Oud, Cedar & Amber Hand Was (Hand, Feet and Nail Care).
“It was a good year for first-time participants to the Awards, with debutantes taking over half of the category Gold medals,” said Awards Director, Alex Gazzola. “And it was terrific to see that many were smaller independent brands, from Ireland, Sweden and the Baltic States, as well as the UK. New cosmetic formulation talent is definitely Europe-wide.”
