The eleventh Free From Skincare Awards have opened to entries today (21 March 2022).

The Awards celebrate the best cosmetic products formulated to be free from some of the allergens and other ingredients consumers need or wish to avoid and feature 16 product categories, plus special awards for Best Brand, Free From Achievement and a new award for Best Labelling.

“A Best Labelling Award is long overdue,” says awards’ director Alex Gazzola. “We’ll be looking for brands and products which demonstrate excellence in labelling — be it in communicating ingredients, instructions for use, suitability, and any allergen guidance or ‘free from’ statements, if used. Those with sensitive skin or who avoid certain ingredients rely on clarity in labelling, and we’ll be rewarding the very best.”

Familiar categories include Hair Care, Men’s Grooming, Deodorants, Problem Skin, as well as many others dedicated to Face Care and Body Care.

Brands sold and distributed in the UK, Ireland and Europe are eligible to participate in the Free From Skincare Awards. Entries close on 3 May, the finalists are revealed in June, and the winners will be announced in July.
