Pioneering natural food company Ecotone UK has announced Bryan Martins as the new UK CEO, taking over from Emma Vass who has held tenure at Ecotone UK for seven years.
Bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in the UK and Europe’s FMCG industry, Martins’ background includes a significant tenure at Danone, where he managed renowned dairy and bottled water brands, including Evian and Activia.
Martins joined Ecotone as UK Marketing Director in 2018, tasked with strategic oversight and leadership of the UK brand and category teams. He later became Chief Marketing Officer for the Ecotone group, driving its focus on developing growth in core categories and innovation across the European portfolio, including Clipper teas & Bjorg.
As the second largest market for the Ecotone Group, the UK has an ambitious business plan to deliver double-digit growth over the next five years.
Bryan Martins, CEO at Ecotone UK, comments:
“I’m excited for this new opportunity within the Group and completely energised for this mission ahead of us to accelerate our growth and impact on the food industry. Ecotone UK are brilliantly positioned for future growth and we will continue to lead the charge to inspire people towards sustainable, healthy food through our fantastic brands.
“2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for all our brands – particularly Clipper Teas which is already the fastest-growing everyday tea brand, and Kallø which is at the forefront of innovation across multiple categories including snacks, stocks and cereals.”
Christophe Barnouin, Ecotone Group CEO, adds:
“We are excited to welcome Bryan to the role of UK CEO for Ecotone. His tenacity, commercial insight and creativity make him the ideal candidate to drive the UK business forward.”
Ecotone is a mission-led business, focused on making food that protects biodiversity through a portfolio of B Corp, organic, plant-based and Fairtrade brands which are excelling in their respective categories.
The change in leadership comes as Emma Vass made the decision to leave the business for a new role with Gu Desserts.
