Divine Chocolate has launched what it calls its biggest innovation in three years – a Chocolate Tasting Set featuring 12 individually wrapped bars in six of the brand’s best-selling flavours.
The set has been developed in response to the growing informal sharing chocolate market in the UK, which the brand identifies as a key area of growth. The company’s research indicated 80% of consumers would give the set as a gift, 60% would buy for themselves as a portioned way to enjoy chocolate and 45% would purchase to share.
Charlotte Green, marketing director at the 100% Fairtrade chocolate company, explains the idea: “We know that chocolate purchases are driven by social occasions, particularly in the run up to Christmas, so are delighted to offer a premium product that works just as well for a gift as for a casual evening with friends. We’re confident new and existing Divine fans will love the variety and taste the Chocolate Tasting Kit offers, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the Ghanaian farmers at the heart of the brand.”
Divine has also launched a new flavour combination – Dark Chocolate with Pink Himalayan Salt – in response to growing consumer demand for premium dark chocolate flavours and the continuing popularity of sweet and salty flavoured products. The new bar contains crystals of Pink Himalayan Salt carefully balanced with 60% dark chocolate.
“Pink Himalayan Salt is a premium ingredient sought by ‘foodies’ for its excellent taste credential, offering discerning chocolate consumers the opportunity to increase their repertoire in the premium chocolate isle,” said Green.
