A new range of Australian functional skincare products designed to provide effective solutions to skin problems has launched in the UK.

The three-strong What Skin Needs range aims to tackle issues including cracked and dry skin and skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis through the active ingredient Plantolin, a patent-protected active plant extract.

The key ingredient in Plantolin is derived from Centipeda cunninghamii, a plant indigenous to Australia which is revered by the Aboriginal people for its soothing and healing properties and is used as a cleanser and astringent.

The What Skin Needs products – Cracked Skin Cream, Skin Balm and Soothing Skin Gel – combine Plantolin with different combinations of natural extracts and essential oils including aloe vera, calendula, olive oil, pomegranate, silica, green tea, myrrh, vitamin E, lavender oil, geranium oil and lemon oil.
