As the results of the Gentle Parenting Awards were announced recently, the accolades just kept on coming for Weleda, which finished up with no less than five Gold awards for its mother and baby products.
The company was awarded: Best nappy cream for its Calendula Nappy Change Cream; Best baby toiletry range with its Calendula Baby range; Best product for paediatric eczema for its Baby Derma White Mallow Lotion; Best maternity and postnatal toiletry range for its Maternity Oils; and finally Best teething product for its Chamomilla 3x Granules.
The shortlist of products approved by the Gentle Parenting judging panel were put through their paces by a panel of mums who selected their favourites. Then the chosen products went on to a public online vote from parents.
“Weleda beat some well known and popular brands, and we are delighted with this fabulous clutch of new awards,” commented Weleda’s marketing manager Alison Parsons. “This was a consumer vote, not an editorial panel decision, and it is gratifying to know that parents really rate the Weleda range. Not only did Weleda get a lot of votes, we also came out tops in all parent tester scores for our products, which gives us a lot of encouragement that we are still doing the right thing after our first baby oil was introduced back in 1959!”
