UK frozen vegan pizza company One Planet Pizza is planning significant upscaling of the business after gaining investment from Heather Mills’ Vbites Ventures.
Launched by father and son team Mike and Joe Hill just over two years’ ago, it has products available in over 450 shops across the UK and mainland Europe and was the first vegan company to equity crowdfund in the UK.
Priding themselves on producing great tasting, healthy and environment-friendly pizzas, the pair are looking forward to the opportunities that working with VBites will bring. “We need to expand our production very quickly in order to meet the increasing demand for our pizzas and to launch some exciting new products,” they explain. “We will be using VBites’ 100% plant-based manufacturing facilities to help scale production and increase distribution nationwide and internationally. We are also looking forward to using VBites new melty ‘cheese’ as well as some of its other award-winning products on our pizzas, as well as working closing with the other VBites Ventures companies.”
