Natural and organic health wholesale distributor Tree of Life has strengthened its commercial team with two new appointments.
John Dunne joins in a newly created role as commercial manager, responsible for the company’s growing business within the multiple retailer sector. With contracts recently secured with Asda, Ocado and Tesco’s The Nutri Centre, he will be responsible for managing and developing these new relationships. With over 10-years experience in the retail industry, Dunne joins Tree of Life from The Cooperative Group, where he was category buying manager, grocery non-edible.
Kirsten Sowerby meanwhile takes up the position of marketing manager. Having previously worked for Müller, Alliance Boots, The Body Shop and Gillette in brand and category management and trade marketing roles, she brings with her a wealth of experience of both the FMCG and grocery and health retailing industries.
Both new appointments will report to Tree of Life’s commercial director, Mike Kilcourse, who said: “John and Kirsten join Tree of Life at an exciting time, as we look to maintain our existing business with our 1200 independent health focused customers, as well as open up new and exciting channels both from a product point of view as well as retail channel. Their experience will be invaluable in helping us achieve this, as we substantially build our business over the next few years.”
