Natural and organic product wholesaler Tree of Life has produced its Gluten Free Buying Guide for 2015, an updated guide aiming to provide retailers with an easier way to select the right products for their customer base.

The guide is designed to address the potential confusion retailers can face in navigating the gluten-free category and provides market insights to help retailers understand the growing sector and advice on how to attract gluten-free consumers.

The Tree of Life guide separates items into clear categories, including a comprehensive list of general grocery products, from baby food to savoury and sweet categories and drinks. For the first time, pet food has been included in the guide this year, reflecting growing consumer demand in this sector.

“Coeliac UK says nearly 10% of adults in the UK are buying into the gluten-free category – it’s now as mainstream as vegetarian and organic,” commented Mike Kilcourse, commercial director, Tree of Life. “This means it’s vital for all retailers to reflect this in their product ranges, not just specialist health food stores.”
