Nearly 300 visitors joined Herbfarmacy founders Paul and Carol Richards last month at a special Open Farm Weekend to celebrate the organic skincare company’s 30th anniversary.
As well as enjoying seeing the fields full of flowering herbs – echinacea, mullein and calendula among them – visitors, who included natural beauty ambassador and Radio 2 Presenter Janey Lee Grace, were able to stock up on Herbfarmacy and Llynfi organic wool garments and browse at a herb plant sale. Entry fees were donated to Hereford based Concern Universal, raising an impressive £900 for the charity.
Carol Richards commented: ‘This is our best Open Farm event yet – great weather, lovely combination of stalls, a café with super local foods and lots of interest and enthusiasm from our visitors. The herb fields have looked fantastic this year thanks to all the sunshine and latterly some rain. It’s lovely to see so many bees and butterflies on the Echinacea!’
