London-based start-up Sidekick has launched a collection of natural hot sauces created to cover the full range of the Kick-o-meter to suit all tastes.

The spicy sauces will be rolled out in stages, with the first core range comprising Mellow Pepper (Not So) Hot Sauce, providing a warm heat and a smooth finish; Original Zingy Pepper Hot Sauce, described as having a deep peppery taste chased by a rolling heat and smooth finish; and Screaming Pepper Extra Hot Sauce, a powerful peppery creation which uses the Caroline Reaper chilli.

Sidekick founder James Bryon, described as a hot sauce addict and culinary experimenter, spent a year refining the recipes before officially launching the self-funded company. Sidekick made its first public appearance at the Festival of Heat in Shoreditch in September, where it sold over a bottle a minute.

The company is currently looking to work with quality artisan food stores as well as via a nationwide distributor.
