Natural British toiletries company Seascape Island Apothecary has kicked off a busy year by announcing its support of a cancer charity, the appointment of a brand development consultant, as well as the introduction of a new product.

Seascape has announced that it will be supporting Target Ovarian Cancer throughout 2015 by dedicating 5% of sales from its Soothe range of bodycare products and taking part in fundraising and awareness building activities.

The company’s activity will involve it in Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (OCAM) in March, the theme of which is ‘Go Glam for OCAM’; the charity’s 50s challenge (to tell 50 people about the symptoms of ovarian cancer and help raise £50; and fundraising walks.

Seascape Island Apothecary has also appointed Gunn Marketing & Design as international brand development consultants. Owner, chairman and CEO of Seascape, Stuart Mactavish, comments: “We have been in talks with GMD for some time. With a history of outstanding brand building behind them, the Gunn’s immediately understood what our global objectives were and exactly to which markets we want to pitch the Seascape brand.”

In addition, a new addition to the company’s Soothe range has been added in the shape of a refreshing Body Mist designed to “pamper the body and calm the soul”. Fragranced with 100% natural essential oils, including Jersey Lavender, Mandarin and Bitter Orange Flower Oil, it is available in a 175ml spray.
