ORGANIC retail pioneer Planet Organic has launched its own products to cater for specialist diets, such as raw foods, superfoods, green foods, fitness foods, sprouted and paleo.

As well as being sold in the store’s own branches, the products are available wholesale to retailers, and to maintain a level playing field Planet Organic says it will never sell below the recommended retail price.

There are currently 25 products under the Planet Organic brand, with more on their way. These include nine Raw Sprouted Grains and Flours – taking in everything from Sprouted Red Quinoa to Sprouted Amaranth – and a range of ten Raw Stone Ground Nut Butters. The raw products are being marketed under the Raw 46 sub-brand.

In addition there are five paleo granolas, Paleonolas, in Chocolate Bliss, Super Berry, Sweet Greens, Tropical Twist and Caramel Apple Pie varieties.

Planet Organic is also distributing the Organic Traditions brand, a range of 76 superfoods including Organic Maqui Berry Powder and Shizandra Berry Powder.

“We want the Planet Organic brand to be synonymous with super nutritious food, great taste and convenience. Our customers are committed to organic for health and the planet’s wellbeing, but are looking for more than just organic these days. People want great tasting free-from foods that pack a nutritional punch,” commented Anthony Rickards, Planet Organic’s senior buyer.

The Planet Organic range is available from CLF and Marigold.
