A summer campaign has been launched by Pharma Nord to focus on the benefits of coenzyme Q10 for heart health.
The face of the ‘When your heart matters’ campaign is the company’s 70-year-old MD Bent Henriksen, who recently climbed Kilamanjaro.
The campaign will highlight new research involving Pharma Nord’s Bio-Quinone Active Q10 published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology which shows the important role coenzyme Q10 can play as an adjuvant to conventional hearth failure therapy.
In the two-year Q-SYMBIO study it was found that 43% fewer deaths from heart-related conditions occurred in the research group who took Bio-Quinone Active Q10 compared to the placebo group. There were also 43% fewer hospitalizations due to worsening of heart failure in the Q10 group.
“The Q-SYMBIO results are remarkable and we strongly believe that Pharma Nord’s Q10 will play an important role in the future treatment of heart conditions,” said Henriksen.
“There are an estimated seven million people living with cardiovascular disease in the UK. We urge retailers to get involved in our new campaign. We have a range of point of sale materials to help you to communicate the benefits of coenzyme Q10 to your customers.”
