Chi Coconut Water is among the many new food and drink brands exhibiting at Natural & Organic Products Europe this weekend.

Chi launched in January and, as co-founder David Mendolsohn explains, has already been exported to important markets including Singapore and Malaysia.

“We’ve had no marketing or advertising so the growth is all through recommendation and word-of-mouth,” says Mendelsohn.

“Coconut Water is really popular at the moment because it’s so hydrating. Our drink is packed with electrolytes to keep you hydrated and potassium to keep the body healthy. We’ve had interest from yoga practitioners, high performance athletes – basically everybody that needs to rehydrate quickly.”

He adds that his team is here to build brand equity and points out that the Chi Natural is the only 330ml coconut water product on the market with a twist cap for ease of use.
