NANNYcare Ltd has finally been able to rename its Goat Milk Nutrition product NANNYcare Goat Milk Infant Formula following recent changes to the Infant and Follow-on Formula (England) Regulations 2007 allowing the use of goat’s milk protein in the manufacture of infant and follow-on formula.

“This is great news for us and for all the mothers who would like the option of a goat milk formula for their baby,” explained company MD Claire Magee.  “NANNYcare Goat Milk Nutrition has been available for the last 20 years in the UK and has built up a market of loyal users, who regularly purchase in health food stores.”

For over 20 years, NANNYcare has undertaken a campaign for its product to be accepted as an infant formula. The company had to prepare and present two detailed submissions, including the results from two double-blind clinical trials, to the European Food Safety Authority, the second of which was successful.

The new labelling will be gradually rolled out in the coming months with a full launch taking place when NANNYcare’s Follow-on Formula is launched in the autumn.
