A former professional cleaner, Helen Kirkham, has launched a new eco-friendly range of cleaning products, Mrs Gleam.
The mother of four and star of the BBC’s Child of Our Time has used the ethos ‘safe on skin, safe on all surfaces, safe around children’ to develop the brand which aims to provide a stylish eco range that also gives extremely effective results. After being thoroughly tested at the University of Huddersfield the products were found to clean ten times faster than Dettol and 30 times faster than Mr Muscle, while still being safe.
Commenting on the launch, Kirkham said: “I wanted products that didn’t contain that big X mark on the bottle that means harsh chemicals, and no irritants. I tried everywhere to find effective products as I’m a clean freak but there was nothing to suit my needs. I also wanted something to look nice that I didn’t have to hide under the sink, considering that the majority of cleaning products are purchased by women it was a surprising realization that many weren’t that visually appealing to myself. The Gleam range allowed the indulgence to create something fun and stylish.”
The offer consists of ten product lines for all areas of the home – including Toilet Cleaner, Oven Cleaner, Bathroom Cleaner, Carpet and Upholstery and Laundry Spot – and is presented in vintage 1950s-style packaging. The products are manufactured and produced in the UK by Greanbase Ltd.
