The first products from London-based ethical coconut company MightyBee are set to launch on 17 April.

The company’s Raw Coconut Water and Virgin Coconut Water go from tree to bottle in 24 hours, with the raw variety being produced using a high pressure process. The Virgin Coconut Water has a five-day shelf life and is said to be the first of its kind in the UK, arriving fresh frozen and untouched.

In May MightyBee will launch its Virgin Coconut Meat which it says is set to become this year’s new superfood. It can be used in smoothies, soups, curries and salads, as well as an ingredient in baking and ice creams.

After exploring Southeast Asia, Mightybee discovered the Nam Hom coconut in Ratchaburi, Thailand, which is grown and harvested by local farmers and has a unique sweetness the company says is due to the local blend of water and soil.

Mightybee advocates fair trade and has Soil Association certification, and the coconuts come from 100% sustainable farms.
