Mahtay is a new brand of sparkling yerba maté tea which has launched in the UK.
The 100% natural blend of coconut water, acai berries, yerba mate and sparkling water is designed to naturally increase energy levels and is aimed at health conscious consumers.
Yerba maté is a natural source of caffeine that is high in antioxidants and has a lightly smoky flavour. Along with antioxidant-rich acai berries, which add a subtle sweetness to the drink, and hydrating coconut water, Mahtay aims to deliver both refreshment and health benefits.
Mahtay has 45 calories per 300ml bottle, is free of artificial flavours and preservatives.
Brand founder Robyn Ward says: “In countries like Argentina and Uruguay, maté is a national drink and you’ll see people drinking it everywhere. We wanted to bring Mahtay to the UK and promotes its unique benefits.”
