Traidcraft is teaming up with fair trade nut company Liberation Foods in a move which will see it stock the entire Liberation range in its online shops, catalogue and across its network of retailers.

The deal will also include a calendar of promotional activities including road show sampling, digital marketing and engagement with Traidcraft’s key advocates.

Liberation’s offer includes Oven Baked Chilli & Lime Cashews with Peanuts & Roasted Corn; oven Baked Salted Cashews & Peanuts; and the newly launched Oven Baked Peppercorn Peanuts with Cashews & Habas Fritas and Nuts and Dried Fruit and Roasted Nut Sharing Mixes.

Commenting on the partnership, Kate Gaskell, MD of Liberation, said: “Our shareholder farmers around the world and the Liberation team here in the UK are delighted to team up with Traidcraft and its fantastically dedicated supporters, with the aim of making nuts the next big thing in Fairtrade! Fairtrade nuts combine two categories that remain in strong growth; not surprising for a convenient, tasty food with excellent nutritional, environmental and ethical credentials.”

“Traidcraft is very pleased to be working more closely with Liberation Foods, being like-minded organizations in terms of mission and values,” added Larry Bush, marketing director at Traidcraft. “We are now stocking its full range and have some exciting joint digital plans planned for the busy upcoming autumn season.”
