Tom Redwood, professional chef and founder of baby food brand Babease, has launched a new sibling brand Kidease to offer a range of healthy toddler meals and snacks.

The initial offer are Chickpea Corn & Quinoa Puffs in two varieties: Carrot, Tomato, Herbs & Spices and Beetroot, Carrot & Parsley. The products have no added sugar or salt, are naturally high in fibre and protein and are gluten- and dairy-free.

Kidease aims to help broaden the palates of young eaters, focusing on savoury rather than sweet, and the portfolio of products will increase over the coming year.

“We are really excited to add Kidease to our growing family,” says Redwood. “Our new range of nutritionally-balanced, delicious products will be based on all-natural, savoury ingredients for children aged one and above.

“We believe in championing savoury options as both a snack and mealtime mainstay; we really want to play a role in combating childhood obesity and sugar addiction. By actively encouraging little ones to build a preference for savoury tastes, there’s a far greater chance they will be open to healthier snacks and meals and turn away from choosing more sugary alternatives.”
