Holland & Barrett has scooped ‘Best Large Company of the Year’ at the 2014 Retail Excellence Ireland Awards gala ceremony, attended by over 500 retail industry representatives.

With over 600 entries, the Retail Excellence Ireland Awards is the largest awards programme of its type. A rigorous judging process includes mystery shopping, store audit process and application review.

Peter Aldis, chief Executive officer of Holland & Barrett parent company NBTY Europe, said, “We are thrilled to win another retail industry award and it is a real tribute to our staff in Ireland. The commitment they show in providing exceptional customer service on the high street is second to none. Everything from our qualified to advise staff to our unique in-store concepts like the Scent Station, adds value to our loyal shoppers and it’s this customer experience which makes us stand out from the competition”.

Holland & Barrett has also been announced as a finalist for three Oracle Retail Week Awards, while Dawn Ashby, manager of the Manchester Market Street branch has been shortlisted for the Store Manager of the Year category and the retailer’s Wise Owl’s training initiative was nominated for the Customer Service Initiative of the Year.
