Freida’s Pantry has developed a new bar specifically designed for mums-to-be.

Founder Sharon Kaur formulated the bars to meet a demand from pregnant women who want a nutritious and healthy snack that would also keep them energised.

Teaming up with family and pregnancy nutritionists Sarah Wragg, Kaur tweaked and refined her mother’s traditional Asian snack bar recipe to create Freida’s Fertile Food Bar.

Packed full of nuts and seeds, the bars contain essential nutrients, such as zinc and selenium, along with omega-3 and 6. The natural ingredients also provide an important source of protein and are high in fibre, to help keep food cravings at bay.

Pumpkin, flax and sesame seeds are combined with pistachio kernels, sunflower seeds, almonds and oats, which provide a source of slow release energy, to help ensure energy levels don’t dip, along with juicy raisins and a little golden syrup.
